tee-off

exactly 9 more working days. counting down.

- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – -

i can’t wait to take a break before training starts, really.

am still wondering what i should be doing for the one whole week.

exercise? shop? rest? watch T.V.? outings?

list of things/events to be achieved in the week of 13th August:

1. 13th Aug – Meow’s Birthday

2. 14th Aug – Medical checkup @ SGH

3. meet up with Chai Ping & Fang Min (*wink wink* *hint hint* belated present)

4. clubbing session with Laurie, Shid, Shi Lin, Dal, Andy, and whoever else who is able to join us!

5. get at least 2 business suits, nude and black stockings and shoes

6. blood donation

7. dental checkup

8. catch up on some sleep

9. finish watching DVDs borrowed from manager

*10. Eyelash perming with ANG SHI LIN :D haha!

when i didn’t say i mind, didn’t mean that i really don’t mind.

yeah, she’s nice, friendly, approachable and very easy to talk to.

but it doesn’t mean that she can go around telling the whole world where i am going next.

are you proud of me, or are you trying to inform the whole company about my much-discussed interest?

and i absolutely do not see the need to inform even the cleaner, the travel agent, who’s next?

probably, you did it out of good intentions, but what is the point of telling external people, and me receiving lectures from the travel agent about the pros and cons of the industry?

i already have “friends” who are desperately reminding me about the awful? sleazy? industry, thus i don’t see a need for more.

this is what i have chosen, and i believe that i can be responsible for my own actions.

thank you.

the very idle d’cruz did the following and egged me to check my email, haha.

fun meh?

thanks to my flat/button nose and single eyelids, i actually have a mere resemblance to Song Hye-Kyo, not bad leh.

haha, she like quite pretty hor. aha! okay, i should stop.

Sheena Times

i think i need to do something to my drooping eyelashes AGAIN. Shi Lin you see this?

stone broke

i think i’m going to be in debts very soon.

firstly, huge deduction to my august payslip due to my request for less than a week’s notice.

secondly, the need to purchase a number of items.

thirdly, my mediocre basic pay.

Just so to remind myself to stop spending on unnecessary items as of NOW:

1. A4 size or bigger tote

2. lots of business suits

3. good quality stockings

4. comfy, covered heels

5. laptop / notebook

6. digital camera

7. haircut, hairdye

8. winter wear

9. cabin bag

10. nice stationery (okay, not necessarily)

how?

approach loanshark ah?

hahaha

blinkers

Got this from NAT HO’s blog.

found the following really inspiring.

well i guess once in awhile, we should trust God.

which is what i am doing right now.

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer’s showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car.

Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat Disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man’s name embossed in gold. Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said, “With all your money you give me a Bible?” and stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things.

When he arrived at his father’s house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search through his father’s important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matt 7:11, “And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?” As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer’s name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words… PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God’s blessings because they are not packaged as we expected?

Remove the blinkers and just trust God.

graduation 07′

Filed under: specials. — ongsheena @ 6:05 am

graduation was superb. evoked some nostalgic moments for polytechnic days though.

i guess that marks the last of Sheena in NYP; unless jeryl decides to go there after his o levels.

Since Year One:

Clockwise from left:

1. Shi Lin, Fang Min, Chai Ping and myself – we have been the bestest of friends since year one, and hopefully, forever. Meet up soon!

2. Haresh Hari Kumar – the big flirt who have been all over Laurie since Year one. aha! for more info, kindly visit here.

3.  Rashidah Bte Adam a.k.a. Shid a.k.a. the man – thank you for always forgiving us for doing the mean things and the mean jokes; you know we love you, don’t you?

4. D’cruz Lauretta Sophia and Ang Shi Lin – i guess i don’t really have to put it down in words, i love you. For being there whenever, whatever.

Year Two:

1. Andy Loh Jun Hao – I admit i did hate you and your bunch of so-called sisters then, i love you now Andy. and i hope that you have come to realise that time proves everything (:

2. Joycelyn – Will never forget the dare we did to one another in MOS during our first girls’ night out. Hope that army life will be enjoyable and fulfilling for you (:

MISC one:

1. Toh Chee Yong – Got to know him through TEP, CRMSC. my god, he has literally evolved into a hunk man.

*drools* okay, i’m kidding lah.

2. Chalven – Knew him through JY, was really shy and soft spoken initially. But soon after we realised that other than being shy and introvert, he is actually a sweet lil mummy’s boy, or rather the down to earth Mr nice guy. One of L****e’s six crushes. woo hoo! i know you’re gonna kill me for this. but who cares?

MISC two:

took this in the auditorium while the very boring director was speaking.

Steamboat buffet at Coca:

shid, zizi, cara, laurie, shi lin, andy, haresh, chi peng and myself.

the nine of us proceeded for the long awaited steamboat buffet after a very hectic morning.

one last thing before i leave, could the above mentioned kindly come online so that i can send you the photos and vice versa?

thankies.

this is just the beginning.

happy national day in advance.

BF gave me tickets for the NDP 07′ rehearsal on 30th June; so we went as a family (except Sis who was working).

it was a first time for my parents and jordan to watch the parade live, so we were quite excited.

arrived at approximately 3plus as we were afraid of being caught in the jam. had sushi before walking towards the floating platform facing the future marina bayfront.

sea of umbrellas

P.S: no goodie bags for rehearsals this time round, not sure why. all we had was a plastic bag filled with some tissue paper, a packet of crackers, mineral water and a disposable raincoat.

however, the parade was relatively well done. they took advantage of the sea to create the jellyfish effect, to display the different high performance ships, boats and helicopters owned by the army. (guess i shouldn’t reveal too much tho, see it for yourself on 9th Aug)

a little preview to the NDP 07′:

Sadly, i didn’t get to see the fireworks display this year as i heard from the BF that they were not allowed to carry out the display for fear that it would distract the players from Australia and Singapore at the National Stadium that night.
how disappointing. the whole idea of going for the parade was to experience the fireworks display !

argh, anyway i had fun. and was glad that my parents turned patriotic after that evening. oops, am i not allowed to state this here?

xoxo
